Doug is a management consultant, investor and mentor to small and growing technology companies. Mr. Hamlin serves as Vice President of Operations for Our Ability, Inc., which mentors, inspires and connects people with disabilities toward education and employment success. As part of Our Ability, Doug also helps organize and participates in the Journey Along the Erie Canal. The Journey, on adaptive bikes, takes place over ten days from Buffalo to Albany each summer and raises funds and awareness for people of all abilities across New York State. It also serves to highlight the outstanding recreational opportunity the Canal provides. A core group of ten completes the ride with hundreds joining for sections along the way.

Mr. Hamlin retired as President & CEO of VersaTrans Solutions in 2011 after a twenty-eight-year career spent in a variety of capacities building the organization to become the leading company in North America providing school transportation technology, logistics, and efficiency.

Doug has a Masters Degree in Regional Planning and a BA in Geography, both from the University at Albany.

He has served on the Board of Directors of Albany Med Health System for 14 years and is currently Vice Chair of the Albany Medical Center Hospital Board of Governors..

Doug lives in Skaneateles, NY with his wife Pam.
